It started in the garden. We grew a crop of spicy peppers and needed something to do with them, so we turned them into BBQ sauce. A honey version came next, and that’s when it stuck.

We’ve always loved heat and BBQ, but too many sauces were all burn and no flavor. We wanted both. The first batch used a pepper around 500,000 Scoville. That flavor isn’t for sale anymore, but it set the standard: homemade, flavor first, with a real kick.

Today we make our sauces in small batches and sell them the same way we started: locally. Order right here on our website and pick up your sauce locally. We can’t ship, but we can supply sauce for events and parties.

Witikko Sauce Co. is meant to feel like home: warm, homemade, and northern Minnesota.
